HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS

The Hydraulic Systems Division is dedicated to providing and advancing fully-integrated hydraulic systems and solutions for the aerospace industry. As an experienced risk-sharing partner with most major aircraft manufacturers worldwide, we offer experience and international exposure in the following areas:

  • Teaming relationships and infrastructure with most avionic, software, system, structural, and engine manufacturers
  • Collaborative and secure information technology systems for technical and commercial program exchange

Drawing on our hydraulic system engineering experience, we offer the ability to engineer and manage a complete hydraulic system. Our system, software, and structural integration experience and capabilities allow our customers to focus on aircraft assembly rather than managing a complex set of supplier and partner relationships.

The major responsibilities for system design and integration that the Parker hydraulic system team has successfully conducted is as follows;

  • Define system architecture and conduct trade studies
  • Reliability and safety: certification considerations          
  • Mechanical and electrical schematics
  • System tubing and fitting: selection and sizing
  • System performance analysis
  • Thermal, power, response, etc.
  • Avionics control logic definition
  • Fully integrated hydraulic control electronics
  • Software integration per DO-178
  • Structural integration of components, distribution systems, and electrical systems
  • Modularization to reduce aircraft assembly time
  • Cockpit display and pilot action definition
  • Component design, development and qualification        
  • Mechanical and electrical interface definition                  
  • System installation (rotor burst analysis, noise and vibration, fatigue, clearances, kinematics, etc.)
  • Reliability, maintainability and safety design analysis     
  • Configuration management including drawing maintenance
  • Certification support with regulatory authorities

  • AMM, CMM, training and aftermarket support
  • Integration and mini-rig testing
