HYDRAULIC FUSES AND HOSE FITTINGS

The Stratoflex Products Division designs and manufactures Waterman® hydraulic fuses and flow regulators for aerospace and derivative markets.

Hydraulic flow regulators are typically installed in a hydraulic line to limit the rate of flow within predetermined values, regardless of variation in system pressure or workloads.

Hydraulic fuses are “normally open” valves that are designed and constructed to close in the event of certain types of system malfunction. The fuse is intended primarily to protect the system from loss of reservoir fluid in the event of a ruptured tube, hose, or component.

Applications

  • Aerospace hydraulic systems
  • Landing gear
  • Wheel brakes
  • Nosewheel steering
  • Hydraulic fluid motors
  • Actuators

Technical Highlights

  • Pressures rated up to 5000 psi (344 bar)
  • Temperature ranges from -65 to +275°F (-55 to +135°C)
  • Type 1 and Type 2 fuses for fixed displacement components
  • Type 3 fuse for continuous flow devices
