MAGNETIC FUEL LEVEL INDICATORS

The Fluid Systems Division designs and manufactures magnetic fuel level indicators for fluids and containers for the aerospace market.

 

Magnetic fuel level indicators (MFLIs) provide a zero-leakage auxiliary method of gauging fuel tank quantity from outside the aircraft. An MFLI consists of three major parts: a sealed outer tube assembly mounted to the lower wing skin; an inner indicating stick with magnets; and an annular float with magnets that move up and down the outer tube with changing fluid levels. The Indicating stick is calibrated for individual applications. Calibration units may be in pounds, kilograms, gallons, or liters as required.

ELECTROHYDROSTATIC ACTUATION

Parker Aerospace designs and manufactures electrohydrostatic actuation (EHA) and electrical backup hydraulic actuation (EBHA) systems that eliminate the need for central hydraulics.  EHA systems are power-by-wire actuation systems that utilize aircraft electric power for flight control surface actuation.  These systems are highly energy efficient and provide an overall weight benefit to the aircraft.
